Our Managing Partner, Senior Advocate Junayed Ahmed Chowdhury appeared today in a case (as a senior brief) involving writ petition challenging enlistment in the Credit Information Bureau (CIB) listing of a director of a company. The case concerned the interrelation between Section 27 (kha) of the Banking Companies Act 1991 and Articles 43 and 44 of the Bangladesh Bank Order 1972. Upon hearing Mr. Chowdhury’s submission, the High Court issued Rule Nisi and passed an order to stay on the CIB listing of the client. Mr Chowdhury was instructed to appear as the Lead Counsel by Barrister Ali Bashar, Managing Partner of Ali & Associates.
