- Shyikh Mahdi is an associate of Vertex Chambers. He is an Advocate at
the District and Session Judge's Court, Dhaka. Mr. Mahdi completed his
LLB (Hons) and LLM from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He further
completed an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law with Distinction from
the Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom. He is also
admitted as an associate (ACIArb) of the Chartered Institute of
Arbitrators, UK. His practice areas include banking and finance,
corporate and commercial, taxation, civil litigation, arbitration, IT
and telecommunication, construction, real estate, NGO and employment.
Mr. Mahdi co-authored the Bangladesh Chapter in the 2021 edition of
Lexology Getting the Deal Through: Investment Treaty Arbitration. As
an avid mooting enthusiast, he has adjudicated a number of
local-international moot court competitions.
- Tanzim Ahmed is an Associate of Vertex Chambers. He is an Advocate of the District and Sessions Judge's Court, Dhaka, and a Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London. Mr. Ahmed completed his LL.B from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
Mr. Ahmed’s practice areas include Banking, Equity Financing, Commercial, Employment, IT and Telecommunication, Taxation, Litigation, Arbitration and other methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
