27.01.2024: A webinar for the launch of the book titled “Commentaries on the Law of Arbitration in Bangladesh/বাংলাদেশের সালিশ আইনের ব্যাখ্যা – বিশ্লেষণ” authored by our Managing Partner, Barrister Junayed Ahmed Chowdhury (published by The University Press Limited) was jointly hosted by two leading legal think-tanks, the Academy of Law and Policy (ALAP) and Think Legal Bangladesh. The star-studded panelists were, Honorable Justice Naima Haider, Mr. AM Amin Uddin, Learned Attorney General for Bangladesh (who also wrote the Foreword of the book), Barrister Mustafizur Rahman Khan, Senior Advocate and Mahrukh Mohiuddin, Managing Director, University Press Limited. They were joined by the author, Barrister Junayed Ahmed Chowdhury and the moderator, Barrister Rashna Imam, Executive Director, ALAP.
The book is the first bilingual law practitioners textbook in Bangladesh and also the first detailed analytical treatment of the arbitration laws of Bangladesh.
