Vertex Chambers, represented by Barrister Md Shafiuddin Jihad, Associate, and Taspia Tasnim, Pupil, attended the Bangladesh Pro Bono Seminar 2026 on 31 October 2026.
The seminar was jointly organized by Trust Law and the Thomson Reuters Foundation and held at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB).
The seminar offered valuable insights into the present state and future of pro bono work in Bangladesh, drawing on a wide range of practice areas, including corporate, commercial, civil and criminal law.
The keynote and panel speakers presented thought-provoking, practical scenarios in which pro bono initiatives can be effectively carried out in the Bangladeshi context.
The seminar reinforced our belief that access to justice is a shared professional responsibility, and that structured, sustained pro bono engagement can meaningfully narrow the gap between legal rights and their practical realization.
